Mandatory Safety Attire for Corporate Branding Visuals

To maintain consistency and reinforce our safety culture across all corporate visuals, all employees and models must adhere to the following mandatory safety attire guidelines. These rules are non-negotiable and are based on the Solvay Life Saving Rules.

  1. Full Body Coverage: Employees must wear a jacket and pants. Jackets are to be fully fastened, and sleeves should not be rolled up. Appropriate footwear is required. All attire should ideally be blue and feature the Solvay logo.
  2. Task-Specific Gloves: Gloves must be appropriate for the task being performed. This includes chemical-resistant gloves for laboratory work and mechanical/leather gloves for operating machinery.
  3. Head and Eye Protection: A helmet and safety goggles, preferably the most waterproof model available, are mandatory.
  4. Specific Protections:
    1. Dust Exposure: FFP2 or FFP3 anti-dust masks are required.
    2. Loud Environments: Auditory protection must be utilized.
    3. Projection Risks: A facial shield (providing head and neck protection) is necessary.
    4. Hair: All hair, regardless of gender, must be tied back to prevent entanglement.
    5. Jewelry: No visible jewelry that could pose a safety hazard is permitted.
  5. Chemical Risk Environments: In areas with significant chemical risks, long-sleeved laboratory coats or uniforms are required, with gloves worn underneath the outer garment.
  6. Biking and Work at Heights: When cycling on-site or performing work at elevated positions, helmets must be securely fastened under the chin.
