This document outlines the guidelines and standards for creating, using, and managing corporate, digital, and graphical content associated with Solvay. The purpose is to maintain a consistent and powerful brand identity, ensuring alignment with our values, and complying with legal and regulatory standards.

2. Brand Overview

Solvay is committed to building and protecting a strong brand presence across all channels. Our brand is a key asset that represents our identity, values, and commitment to stakeholders. Consistency is crucial to reinforce positive perceptions and trust.

3. Corporate Branding

Solvay official and only branding guidelines are available on brand.solvay.com. The login and password access are shared on the Group intranet in the communication section. Access can be shared with external parties.

3.1 Logo Usage

  • The official Solvay logo is the primary visual representation of our brand. It should be used consistently and per the guidelines provided on the official brand website.
  • Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or distortions of the logo are strictly prohibited.
  • The logo's size, color, and placement must adhere to the specifications outlined in the brand website : brand.solvay.com 

3.2 Messaging

  • Consistent messaging is vital for brand coherence. All internal and external communications should reflect our core values and adhere to approved messaging guidelines.

  • The official Solvay website should adhere to design and content guidelines specified in the brand website.

4.2 Social Media

  • Social media accounts must use official branding elements consistently.
  • Content shared on social media should align with the company's values and adhere to ethical standards. Please refer to the social media policy.

4.3 Email Marketing

  • Emails sent on behalf of Solvay should use approved templates and adhere to branding guidelines.
  • Avoid misleading subject lines and ensure all email content is in line with the brand's image.

5. Graphical Content Guidelines

5.1 Images and Graphics

  • All images and graphics must align with the brand's visual identity and messaging available on brand.solvay.com
  • Please refer to the branding manager when using external images, and verify its proper licensing and permissions for third-party images used in marketing materials.
  • All visuals must respect Solvay Life Saving Rules taking as a basis the highest level of safety in PPE

5.2 Video Content

  • Videos should reflect Solvay's values and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Use consistent branding elements in video content, including intros, outros, and overlays as specified in the branding website brand.solvay.com

 

6. Sponsorship and Third-Party Usage

  • Third parties seeking to use Solvay’s brand elements, including logos and trademarks, must obtain prior written consent which includes stating the brand Solvay first, requiring validation before posting on social media for the corporate accounts and press release.
  • Approved third-party usage must comply with the guidelines outlined on the brand website.

This brand policy will undergo periodic reviews and updates to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. All updates will be communicated to relevant stakeholders.
